M&S encourages parents to make eye tests part of back-to-school preparation

Marks & Spencer is encouraging parents to make eye tests an essential part of back-to-school preparation.

This is the first time the retailer has featured eyewear in a back-to-school campaign as its rolls out its optician’s service to stores across the UK.

M&S is using the UK’s third busiest shopping event behind Christmas and Easter to remind parents to book an annual eye test for their children. The move comes after the latest M&S Family Matters Index found that 54% of Brits are concerned about their family’s health.

Alice Duggan, head of M&S Kids, said: “As the UK market leader for the back-to-school season we’re proud to be shining a light on the importance of annual eye tests for children. With the expansion of M&S Opticians into more stores across the UK, we’re making it even easier for families to pick up everything they need for the new school year by offering a one-stop shop for those all-important back-to-school essentials.”
