Ebay names Eddie Garcia as chief product officer

Ebay has announced the appointment of Eddie Garcia as chief product officer.

In his new role, he will be charged with leading the company’s core product organisation to deliver a streamlined experience for customers.

Reporting directly to Jamie Iannone, Ebay’s chief executive, Gracia previously worked with Meta where he was head of commerce, Facebook App, Prior to that, he was senior vice president of product development at Travelzoo and the chief product officer at Sam’s Club.

Gracia previously worked with Ebay from 2003 to 2014 when he held roles in search and buyer experience.

Iannone said: “We are thrilled to have Eddie join our team, bringing an impressive track-record of developing innovative experiences to eBay. His passion for building successful product teams dedicated to customers fits perfectly with our growth strategy.

“As we continue to build an eBay for the future, having a leadership team that embodies our purpose is critical, and I know that Eddie will play a key role in the ongoing success of our entire marketplace.”

Garcia will join the business on 18 April.
