Amazon doubles UK selection of Dash Buttons to over 100

Just over a year after launching its Dash Button in the UK, Amazon has announced that it has doubled the number of buttons available.

The Dash button is a Wi-Fi connected device that reorders shoppers’ favourite products with the press of a button.

UK customers can now choose from 100 different branded buttons  with the expanded selection including brands such as Bold, Cillit Bang, English Tea Shop, Evian, Febreze, Flash, Gaviscon, Harringtons, Head & Shoulders, Pampers, Purina Gourmet, SMA, Tampax, Vet’s Best and Waterwipes.

The new buttons have been added to a list that already includes the likes of Duracell, Heineken, Listerine, Neutrogena, and Tassimo.

Jorrit Van der Meulen, vice president of Amazon Devices International, said: “Dash Buttons are a convenient, easy and reliable way to re-order your everyday favourites—and customers love them. The momentum behind Dash Buttons just continues to grow. Customers want more buttons, more brands want to get involved, and today we’re excited to add even more customer-favourite brands including Head & Shoulders, Nescafe, Pampers, Purina Go-Cat, and more.”

Amazon has revealed that the most popular item ordered by customers via buttons is toilet roll, followed by dishwasher tablets, cat litter, cat food, beer, mouthwash and baby wipes.

When a customer sets up a Dash Button, they connect it to Wi-Fi and use the Amazon App to select the product they want to reorder. The device comes with a reusable adhesive and a removable hook to hang, stick, or place wherever the customer wants it to go in their home.
