Advisors called in to market Laura Ashley manufacturing and distribution facilities

Administrators for Laura Ashley have drafted in property advisors to market the failed fashion and homeware retailer’s manufacturing and distribution facilities.

PwC have appointed Avison Young to help find a buyer for the freehold portfolio of six individual properties. Situated in Newtown in Wales, the sites collectively extend to 32 acres and provide over 460,000 square feet of accommodation..

Chris Davies, associate director at Avison Young, said: “The industrial market continues to demonstrate resilience in the prevailing market, with a shortage of freehold industrial and warehouse premises immediately available. As a result, this portfolio offers an excellent opportunity for occupiers, investors and developers alike to acquire a substantial industrial holding.

“A positive number of early enquiries have already been received and we are now actively inviting interest for the portfolio as a whole or in part, on both a for sale and to let basis.”
