Sainsbury’s opens new London convenience store

Sainsbury’s has opened a new London convenience store on Camden’s Abbey Road.

The ‘Local’ store will sell a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products and convenience items and will also feature a bakery and a Costa coffee machine.

Trading from 7am-11pm Monday to Sunday, the store will play active role in the local community and will work with the nearby Abbey Community Centre as its chosen charity partner.

Patrick Dunne, Sainsbury’s property director, said: “It’s a big team effort to get our stores ready for business and I thank everyone involved in opening this new store.

“Our Local stores are tailored to the community to ensure we’re well placed to deliver for our customers. We know customers value the convenience of Sainsbury’s Local stores and I know this brand new store in Camden will be popular with residents and visitors in the area.”
