Asda strengthens leadership team
Asda has strengthened its senior leadership team with a series of new appointments.
Liz Evans is taking up the role of chief commercial officer for non-food and retail where she will be responsible for large store operations on a permanent basis while continuing to lead Asda’s George clothing brand.
In addition, the supermarket has created a new position on its executive team for a chief supply chain officer to oversee all food and general merchandise operations.
Kris Comerford, Asda’s chief commercial officer – food, has bolstered the food team with the appointment of Ade McKeon as vice president for ambient.
Subscribe to TRBMeanwhile, Gemma Lightbody has been hired as business unit director for impulse grocery and Matt Shields as business unit director for core grocery.
In a final appointment, current Asda employee Matt Wood has taken on the role of SD commercial operations, reporting directly to Comerford.
