Aldi to open 16 new stores in lead-up to Christmas
Aldi is to open 16 new stores between now and 12 December as it continues to extend its reach across the UK.
The supermarket is investing £650 million this year in its UK store opening and refurbishment programme, with each new site expected to create around 40 jobs.
Aldi has previously announced a £1.6 billion investment over the next two year period as it looks to launch 40 new stores each year.

To prepare for the Christmas rush, Aldi has recently launched a recruitment drive to hire more than 4,500 store colleagues across the UK. The new team members will be tasked with restocking shelves, assisting customers and helping to ensure that stores run smoothly during one of the busiest periods of the year.

- Queens Park Avenue, Billericay
- Kentish Town, London
- Dundee Road, Arbroath
- The Green, Cheadle
- Boghall Road, Baillieston
- Old Shoreham Road, Hove
- Pershore Market, King George’s Way, Pershore
- Riverside Retail Park, Yate, Gloucestershire
- Northallerton, North Yorkshire
- Harefield Road, Uxbridge
- Daventry, Northamptonshire
- Old Kent Road, London
