Wolverine Worldwide names Brendan Hoffman as new president

Wolverine Worldwide has hired Brendan Hoffman as its next president.

Due to take up his new role on 8 September, Hoffman will also become a member of the company’s board. He will report to Blake Krueger, Wolverine Worldwide’s current chairman, chief executive and president, and is expected to be appointed as chief executive after a transitional period.

With 30 years’ experience in merchandising, digital marketing and omnichannel retail, Hoffman was previously chief executive of the Vince contemporary fashion brand. Prior to that, he was chief executive and president of Bon-Ton Stores and president and chief executive of Lord & Taylor. Earlier in his career, he was chief executive and president of Neiman Marcus Direct.

Krueger said: “Brendan is a very strong addition to the Wolverine Worldwide senior management team and his proven leadership and track record makes him the ideal person to become our next president and eventually lead Wolverine Worldwide into the next chapter of its journey,

“I believe we currently have the strongest and deepest leadership team in the industry, and Brendan brings a valuable set of skills and experiences that will help our brands capitalise on the many opportunities that lie ahead.”

Hoffman will be responsible for driving growth across Wolverine’s portfolio of footwear and lifestyle brands which includes the likes of Hush Puppies, Merrell, Saucony, Keds, Wolverine and Sperry.
