Wise Guys expands with two new lettings

Growing menswear retailer Wise Guys has taken two retail units in Chesterfield and Newark town centres.

While the shop on Chesterfield’s Packers Row provides accommodation of 1,859 square feet, the store in Newark is larger at 6,000 square feet and is housed in a former Dorothy Perkins site. The latter will become the retailer’s flagship following a relocation from nearby Middle Gate and will also offer the company’s Wise Girls range.

The move means that Wise Guys now has six stores across the Midlands.

Mike Willis, director at Wise Guys, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to continue to grow the business. Chesterfield is a great new location for us and the increased size in Newark means we can add to the range, expand the formalwear side and introduce our sister company Wise Girls.”

FHP acted on behalf of separate private landlords on both properties.

Oliver Marshall at FHP added: “It’s brilliant to see an independent retailer like Wise Guys growing. They have taken on two very prominent locations in attractive market towns. Mike is a great operator and we wish him well on these new openings.”
