Watches of Swizerland joins line-up at Manchester Royal Exchange

Watches of Switzerland has opened a new store at Manchester Royal Exchange.

The new shop is situated in one of the most prominent locations in the grade II listed building and benefits from a double frontage onto St Ann’s Square.

Stocking watches from brands such as Omega, Rolex, TagHeuer, Tissot, IWC, Breitling and Cartier, the store will also include a premium watch service offering repairs and restoration, watch servicing and valuations. A bespoke VIP service is also available.

Manchester Royal Exchange has been undergoing a number of changes since it was acquired by international real estate firm Hines on behalf of Bayerische Versorgungskammer, Germany’s largest pension scheme group, in November 2016.

Sharon Bloodworth, director of retail management for Hines UK, said: “Watches of Switzerland is an outstanding addition to Manchester Royal Exchange; an offer of this calibre complements the diverse tenant mix of the landmark building and demonstrates our commitment to reposition it as a premium retail destination for luxury brands in Manchester.”

Other new openings at Manchester Royal Exchange include a Lanigan and Hulme premium menswear and accessories store. In addition, the owner has also recently announced a new 10-year deal to bring French Connection back to Manchester city centre.
