Jack Wills to open store in Intu Watford’s new extension

Fashion retailer Jack Wills is to launch a new store at Intu Watford’s £180 million extension.

The retailer is taking a 5,000 square foot unit within the 400,000 square foot new space.

Neil Beaman, property director at Jack Wills, said: “Intu Watford’s extension is going to be a key opening for us this year. It is a fantastic site at the heart of a growing town with access to a large proportion of our target customers.”

The new development will mean that Intu Watford will have 1.4 million square feet of retail and leisure space in the heart of Watford. According to predictions by CACI, the extension will elevate the Hertfordshire town to a top 20 retail destination alongside Edinburgh and Bristol.

Other stores joining Jack Wills at the centre will include a 113,000 square foot Debenhams and a 6,630 square foot Superdry. There will also be a nine-screen IMAX cinema, Hollywood Bowl and 11 new restaurants.

Rebecca Ryman, regional managing director at Intu, said: “Jack Wills is a perfect addition to our retail mix, providing yet another frequently requested store for our wide and affluent catchment base.”
