H&M opens first store in Ukraine

Fashion retailer H&M has opened its first store in Ukraine.

On the launch day the store in Kiyv had a long queue of customers waiting to enter and the first 1,003 all received gift cards loaded with various sums ranging from 10,000 UAH for the first person in line, 3,000 UAH for the second and 2,000 UAH for the third. The rest received cards worth 200 UAH. Customers were also given a 15% discount all day.

Dominique Fantaccino, country manager for H&M, said:“We have been waiting for this day for a long time now and the response from the Ukrainian public was well worth the wait! I am so proud to welcome shoppers to our very first store and we are pleased to be able to offer our customers added value through fashion, quality and sustainability at the best price.”

Situated at Lavina Mall in Kiyv, the 2,900 square metre store offers a selection of fashion and accessories for men, women, and children, together with a range of homewares.
