Gap launches logo ‘archive reissue’ collection

The Gap clothing brand has launched the Gap ‘Archive Reissue – Logo Remix,’ a collection of apparel for men and women featuring Gap logos from across the decades since the brand’s launch nearly 50 years ago.

The ‘Logo Remix’ collection includes signature Gap styles, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, and rugby shirts.

To launch the collection, Gap has collaborated on a TV advert called Logo Remix with Tabitha Denholm, who has directed music videos for Florence and the Machine, Haim and Jessie J, and Tanisha Scott, who is best known for her work with Beyonce, Drake and Rihanna.

The advert features a global cast of talent including Grammy nominated singer Sza and producer Metro Boomin who remixed the eighties track Hold Me Now by the Thompson Twins for the film.

Craig Brommers, chief marketing officer for Gap, said: “Following the strong consumer and social interest in our ‘‘90s Archive Reissue’ from last year, we are launching the Logo Remix collection by looking forward at the talent who are reshaping and remixing culture in their own way.

“Gap is always one to celebrate and bring culture to the mainstream and what better way to do this and highlight this group of global individuals.”
