Games Workshop reports uplift in sales and profit

Fantasy games specialist Games Workshop has reported that preliminary estimates indicate that it sales reached £109 million in the first six months of its financial year.

The company also expects to make an operating profit of around £38 million in the period. This compares to £13.8 million in the same period last year.

In a statement, the company said it has seen sales and profit growth in all channels in constant currency terms in the six months to 26 November. It added: “These results are in line with expectations for the year ending 3 June 2018 although the board is aware that it is still early in the 2017/18 financial year.”

Games Workshop expects to announce its half-yearly report for the period on 9 January 2018.
