G-Star RAW chooses Meadowhall for sixth UK store

Fashion brand G-Star RAW has chosen Sheffield’s Meadowhall shopping centre as the location for its sixth UK store.

The brand has taken a 2,500 square foot unit at Meadowhall following the centre’s recently completed £60 million refurbishment by joint owner British Land.

With a design concept developed by G-Star RAW’s in-house team, the shop will focus on the brand’s denim offer and showcase its most sustainable denim collection. The shop will also sell its selection of jeans, tops, jackets, shoes, and accessories for men and women.

The launch follows a succession of high profile collaborations by G-Star RAW, including a suit collection with Pharrell Williams that was released in April. In addition, a sustainable denim collection with Jaden Smith is planned for release this autumn.

Emma McKeever, G-Star RAW’s head of marketing UK & Nordic, said: “G-Star RAW is excited to be opening a new retail space in Meadowhall. It will be a showcase of G-Star RAW’s latest store design concept and will have a strong focus on both menswear and womenswear.”

Other new brands at the centre include the likes of Godiva, Flannels, Neal’s Yard and Diesel.

Richard Crowther, asset manager for British Land, said: “G-Star joins a strong line-up of exceptional brands and adds to the centre’s high quality retail offer. The transformation of Meadowhall has cemented its position as one of the leading retail and leisure destinations in the UK and the first choice for consumers in the region.”
