Difficult trading conditions continue for Quiz

Quiz has said the challenging trading conditions it reported in June have persisted over the summer months.

As a result, the company has seen a year-on-year reduction in footfall although it is continuing to see growth in sales from its website.

Group revenue in the period was broadly in line with the same period last year.

In a statement ahead of its AGM, Quiz chairman Peter Cowgill said: “Whilst trading conditions are expected to remain difficult, the Board continues to believe that, through the strength of Quiz’s flexible business model and increasing online focus, the group can return to sustainable profitable growth in the medium term.”

Quiz will be providing a further update on trading in the six months to 30 September 2019 on  11 October.
