Burberry to champion LGBTQ communities at February show

Luxury brand Burberry is to champion the LGBTQ communities through a series of initiatives.

The brand will feature the LGBTQ rainbow across its February 2018 collection which will also include the introduction of a new Rainbow check as the latest iteration of Burberry’s most iconic symbol.

The Rainbow check pieces in the collection will be available for purchase immediately after the show in London on 17 February.

Burberry has also made donations to three charities including the Albert Kennedy Trust, the Trevor Project and ILGA, all of which are dedicated to broadening awareness, mentoring and making resources available to LGBTQ communities around the world.

The February 2018 show will be Burberry president and chief creative officer Christopher Bailey’s last collection before he leaves the brand at the end of this year.
