Asos seeks new chief financial officer

Online fashion retailer Asos has reported that Helen Ashton has informed its board that she wishes to move on from her current role as the company’s chief financial officer.

As a result, it has been agreed that Ashton will step down and retire from the board on 30 April although she will remain in employment until 31 August to ensure an orderly handover.

In a statement, Asos said: “The board expresses its appreciation for the contribution that Helen has made to the group during her tenure and wishes her all the very best in the next stage of her career.”

Asos added that its chief executive Nick Beighton, who was previously chief financial officer of the company, will cover Ashton’s role until her replacement is appointed.
