Abercrombie & Fitch appoints new director

Abercrombie & Fitch has announced the election of Felix Carbullido as an independent director.

Carbullido is currently executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Williams-Sonoma where he oversees the marketing strategy and operations for all seven of the group’s brands. These include Pottery Barn, PB Kids, Pottery Barn Teen, Williams-Sonoma, West Elm, Rejuvenation, and Mark and Graham.

Prior to Williams-Sonoma, he worked with retailers Macy’s, Banana Republic, Gap and Smith & Hawken.

Abercrombie & Fitch chairman Terry Burman, said Carbullido will bring more than 30 years of specialty retail experience to its board. He added: “He has deep digital marketing and omnichannel experience, an impressive track record leading marketing strategy for multi-brand specialty retail companies, and an open and collaborative approach — all of which will be helpful as we continue to drive our brands forward in our current ‘growing while transforming’ phase.”

Carbullido’s appointment means that Abercrombie’s board now comprises 11 directors.
