1,000 jobs at risk at Jacques Vert and Precis owner

Calvetron Brands, the owner of the Jacques Vert and Precis womenswear brands, is set to appoint Duff & Phelps as administrators according to reports.

Sky News has said that the company could make the appointment wihin the next 24 hours following weak sales at its concessions in the House of Fraser and Debenhams department store chains.

Earlier this week, House of Fraser said it will be pursuing a Company Voluntary Arrangement that will include proposals for some store closures as it looks to get its finances on a firmer footing.

Calvetron Brands has 1,000 employees in the UK and a further 400 in Ireland and Canada. The company is owned by group of private investors and also includes the Windsmoor, Eastex and Dash brands.
