AO to create 250 new jobs at Crewe logistics hub

Online electricals retailer AO is to recruit for 250 new roles at its logistics hub in Crewe.

The move is part of the retailer’s plans  to expand its logistics network after it benefited from a significant uplift in online shopping during the Covid-19 lockdown.

The new jobs will provide opportunities for both day and night shifts and there will also be a variety of highly skilled roles on offer.

AO has extended its warehouse space by over 225,000 square feet in recent weeks and is also planning to open a 115,000 square foot warehouse in Stafford this month.

David Ashwell, managing director of AO Logistics, said: “We’ve been quick to adapt to meet increased customer demand and we’re investing in the future, adding more space and hundreds of new, quality jobs for people in Cheshire and Staffordshire. We’re proud to be a growing local employer with a history of creating careers in phenomenal business where the sky is the limit.”
