AO supports those returning to technology careers
AO is running a programme to support people looking to return to a career in technology after a career break.
The online electricals retailer has teamed up with Tech Returners on an eight week course where 16 people will be offered the chance to refresh their skills. They will also be given the opportunity to apply for a role at AO at the end of the programme.
Called ‘Your Return To Tech’, the programme will also see participants taking live briefs from AO to work on throughout the eight-week period.
Carl Phillips, director of group IT at AO.com, said: “At AO, we’re always looking for people who have a real passion for what they do. For us, it’s not always about having years of experience, it’s about the individual so we’re looking forward to working with this group and taking part in the scheme with Tech Returners.”
