John Lewis introduces Beauty Society offering at St David’s

The John Lewis & Partners department store has begun to offer its new beauty concept ‘The Beauty Society’ at the St David’s shopping centre in Cardiff.

The service gives shoppers the chance to receive independent advice on finding the right products for them from the retailer’s beauty guides. The guides will also offer general beauty advice on anything from achieving the perfect flick to the difference between acids and antioxidants.

In a specially designed space, customers will receive consultations while sitting at play tables from where they will also be offered refreshments such as Prosecco and coffee. They can access the service through drop-in appointments or via three bookable appointment types.

Lea Wheeler, head of beauty at John Lewis Cardiff, said: “We know how much our customers value interacting with our partners and appreciate the advice offered across all of our departments. The beauty guides within Beauty Society will bring even more to our customers looking for the very best and latest makeup and skincare advice – all experts in beauty and brilliantly trained by all of our brands.”

Appointments will last for between 15 and 90 minutes with some costing between £35 and £90 and others being offered free of charge.

Speaking on behalf of the St David’s Partnership, a joint venture between Landsec and Intu, Kate Grant said: “John Lewis has chosen to launch one of its three Beauty Society concepts in the UK at St David’s and this is a really exciting new addition to one of the centre’s anchor stores. Spending on beauty and cosmetic products is on the rise and this more personalised experience will be welcomed by visitors and beauty lovers looking for a more bespoke service.”
