Harvey Nichols chief executive to become deputy chairman

The Harvey Nichols department store chain has announced that its chief executive Stacey Cartwright will be stepping down at the end of the year to take up the new role of deputy chairman.

The company said the new position will enable Cartwright to oversee the continued evolution of the Harvey Nichols brand which will be led by two new co-chief operating officers, Daniela Rinaldi and Manju Malhotra. Both Rinaldi and Malhotra will have joint responsibility for the day-to running of the company.

Rinaldi currently works as the company’s group commercial director while Malhotra is chief financial officer.

Following the reshuffle, Cartwright will be looking to pursue other directorships and personal interests. As deputy chairman, she will continue to report to Harvey Nichols chairman Sir Dickson Poon.

Cartwright said: “Daniela and Manju each bring of experience to their new roles with highly complementary skillsets. I am delighted to be announcing their promotions and I look forward to working alongside them.”
