Debenhams hires new chief financial officer
The Debenhams department store chain has appointed Rachel Osborne as its new chief financial officer.
Having previously held the same role at Domino’s Pizza Group, Osborne has extensive retail experience after also working with John Lewis and Kingfisher. She will take up her new position on 17 September.
Debenhams made the hiring after Matt Smith informed its board earlier this year that he intends to leave the business at the end of August.
Sergio Bucher, chife executive of Debenhams, said: “I am looking forward to working with Rachel. She has deep experience across a variety of retail and customer-facing businesses and her commercial expertise will be invaluable as we build a strong financial foundation to underpin the transformation of Debenhams.”
