Tesco unveils plans to open F&F franchise stores in the US

Tesco has unveiled plans to open its first F&F franchise stores in the US as it continues with its plans to become a global brand for affordable fashion.

F&F, which launched in the UK and Ireland in 2001, will open seven stores on the east coast of America this year with its US franchise partner Retail Group of America.

The first store will launch in a shopping mall near Boston in May and will be followed by four stores in New York and one each in Philadelphia and Newport, Virginia.

The shops will carry the brand’s full range of clothing for women, men and children.

F&F chief executive Jason Tarry said: “We’ve had a really positive response from customers in all of our overseas markets so we’re hoping our American stores prove to be just as popular. F&F is fast becoming a true global brand, with franchise stores in 10 countries around the world and more planned for the future.”

The brand has also opened its first store in Armenia through its partnership with Al Hokair in Europe and Central Asia. F&F has already worked with Al Hokair to open stores in Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan and Georgia.
