Subway appoints area development manager for UK and Ireland

Subway has appointed a new area development manager for the UK and Ireland.

Having worked with Subway for over a decade, Greg Madigan will be responsible for developing the brand across the territory while working with a team of development agents. He will be based at Subway’s UK head office in Cambridge.

Madigan previously worked at Subway’s Australian headquarters in Brisbane where he was responsible for store operations nationwide. Prior to that, he was general manager for Subway’s development office in Sydney where he oversaw brand development and stores across New South Wales.

Earlier this summer, Subway opened a milestone 1,800th store in the UK and Ireland by launching a forecourt store with Euro Garages in Peterborough.

Madigan said: “The Subway brand is of course very popular across the UK and Ireland, the team have done a great job in developing the brand to get to 1,800 stores – the largest market in Europe.  I see that my job is to help build on this, and facilitate growth not only with individual and multi-unit franchisees looking to develop their own store portfolio, but also with our corporate partners.”
