Skechers to open Liverpool ONE store

US footwear brand Skechers is to open a 3,578 square foot regional flagship in Liverpool ONE in the spring.

The new store will be situated on lower South John Street adjacent to Hollister and Zara, as well as Victoria’s Secret, which is due to open this summer.

Skechers will stock its full product range for men, women and children.

Last year, footfall at Liverpool ONE exceeded 28 million for the first time to mark a 3% increase on 2014. Meanwhile, sales increased by 8.5% compared to the previous year.

New store openings at the Grosvenor Fund Management operated scheme in 2015 included UGG, SuperTrash, Levi’s and Hugo Boss. In total, more than 20 new brands signed at Liverpool ONE during the year.

Miles Dunnett, director of portfolio management at Grosvenor Fund Management, said: “The signing of Skechers so soon after the start of the year is a great reflection of the awareness of Liverpool ONE’s success amongst leading fashion and lifestyle brands. Skechers’ desire to create a flagship store on South John Street is driven by both the other recent additions to our line-up as well as our sustained growth in 2015.

“To have also achieved our highest levels of footfall and strongest sales since we opened is fantastic and we are delighted that momentum is being maintained into 2016.”
