Scotch & Soda eyes US and UK expansion

Dutch fashion brand Scotch & Soda is embarking on a programme of international expansion by launching eight new stores in the US and two branches in the UK.

The brand is planning to open the US stores by the end of 2012 in key cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Boston, Las Vegas and San Francisco.  In the UK, the company will open separate womenswear and menswear stores in London’s Notting Hill and Westbourne Grove. The UK shops are due to open in late September.

Scotch & Soda was acquired in 2011 by US clothing manufacturer Kellwood Company which is owned by Sun Capital Partners. Last November the company announced plans to expand in Germany by increasing store numbers from three to ten.
