Savills appointed to advise on France's first retail ecopark
Archived article dated Wednesday July 2nd 2008
Developer Compagnie de Phalsbourg has appointed Savills as sole agent to advise on the leasing strategy for ATOLL, France's first commercial ecopark located at Angers Beaucouze.
ATOLL will comprise 78,000 sq m (839,612 sq ft) of retail space, located close to the A11. The park, which will focus on low energy consumption, is to have green wall parking facilities and a green roof. It is due for completion in 2012.
Christophe Gouny, head of retail at Savills Paris, comments: “ATOLL is not only a key instruction for Savills but represents a new standard for future developments. With occupiers requiring higher levels of environmental accreditation, it will no doubt be a popular location.”
ATOLL is set to be a pilot project for HQE, the High Environmental Quality standard, and will be eligible for Valorpark accreditation, as recognised by CNCC, the national shopping centre council.
