Retail guardian picked for One New Change

Archived article dated Wednesday June 3rd 2009

Land Securities has appointed design group Rawls as 'retail guardian' for the One New Change development in the City of London.

The 2.5 acre mixed use development, created by architect Jean Nouvel, will boast a mix of shops, cafes, restaurants and office space. Rawls will set store design standards and guide the delivery of retail streetscapes. It is to the east of St Pauls Cathedral. Rawls founder Adam Rawls says, “One New Change is an extraordinary project with illustrious surroundings and Jean Nouvel has created an uncompromisingly contemporary structure that is not only a worthy neighbour for Wren's masterpiece, but actually enhances the views of the cathedral itself. It requires an exceptionally creative team to set and manage the stunningly different approach that high-end retailers will take to further enhance this iconic building.
