Nisa refreshes its board

Symbol group Nisa has appointed four new member directors to its board at its annual general meeting.

These include Vimanji Odedra, who was previously a board member and was re-elected, Bharat Amin, Sukh Gill and Harry Goraya.

Meanwhile, chief financial officer Robin Brown, chief executive Nick Read and trading director Stewart Smith, who were appointed this year and required to retire at the AGM and seek re-appointment, were all duly elected to the board by substantial majorities.

All other resolutions put to the AGM were passed with the exception of the resolution to change the Articles of Association which, while supported by a substantial majority of members, did not gain the required 75% majority.

Christopher Baker, independent non-executive chairman, said: “The AGM was very well attended and more shareholders this year than ever before used their vote to decide on the resolutions put to them. I would like to welcome Bharat Amin, Sukh Gill and Harry Goraya onto the Nisa board and welcome back Vim Odedra, for a further term.”
