Nisa launches Facebook Countdown Christmas advent calendar

Nisa is running a new campaign on Facebook this month as it looks to engage with shoppers in the run-up to Christmas.

The Countdown to Christmas advent calendar involves consumers ‘opening a window’ every day from 1 to 24 December. Behind every window is the chance to win a prize giveaway, courtesy of various suppliers.

Consumers are able to enter the competition by commenting on the post with the answer to the question displayed. The creative ties in with Nisa’s instore point of sale material to create customer recognition over the festive period.

The first giveaway – a case of Cadbury’s Freddo Faces tubes – kick started the campaign with over 36,000 views of the post, 2,500 entries and over 1,600 likes.

The prizes are available for 24 hours only and range from a bottle of Lanson champagne with two champagne flutes, t-shirts and moustaches to coincide with the new Anchorman film, to a a Dolce Gusto coffee machine.

Becky Slingsby, Nisa’s recently appointed social media executive, said: “We are extremely pleased with the success of the campaign so far, with likes on our Facebook page increasing by 500 over the first weekend and extremely positive comments received from our customers. Campaigns such as these form part of Nisa’s wider communications strategy and commitment to invest in our social media platforms and become a more consumer facing organisation.”
