Primark reveals new locations for its WornWell vintage concessions

Primark has announced plans to continue the rollout of one of its popular in-store experiences: WornWell by the Vintage Wholesale Company.

This month, the retailer is celebrating one year of its partnership with WornWell, a vintage concession that offers customers the unique opportunity to shop pre-loved branded and non-branded pieces alongside Primark’s great quality essentials and stand-out style.

Primark unveiled the first WornWell concession in its flagship Birmingham store one year ago, in August 2023, and has since branched out into locations in Manchester, Oxford Street East, Bristol, and Cardiff, as well as two Dublin-based stores in Ireland. The partnership has been a hit with Primark fans, so much so that the retailer is now expanding the concession into two further stores: Newcastle and Glasgow.

Newcastle shoppers can get their hands on the one-of-a-kind vintage offerings from tomorrow onwards, and Glasgow customers can expect to see WornWell in their local Argyle Street store by the end of the year.

Tim Kelly, Director of New Business Development, Primark said: We are delighted to be expanding our partnership with the Vintage Wholesale Company to bring WornWell to two more UK stores this year, starting with Newcastle this week. At Primark, we’re always looking to partner with brands that our customers will love to ensure they have the best in-store experience possible, and this expansion is testament to just how successful the unique styles at WornWell have been with our shoppers. By the end of this year, WornWell will be in 10 Primark stores across the UK and Ireland, offering customers even more reasons to visit their local store.’

The Vintage Wholesale Company director Riccardo Seaton added: ‘Over the past year, we’ve been thrilled with how positively Primark shoppers have responded to this partnership. We’re so excited to open another WornWell in Newcastle this week, with Glasgow following later in the year, and we look forward to growing our partnership with Primark even further in the months and years to come.’

Newcastle’s new WornWell concession, located on the second floor of the store, joins the Tasty by Greggs café, which opened in the store earlier this year. These partnerships, along with a host of other services, are available in select Primark stores as the retailer continues to invest in its in-store experiences. Alongside great value clothing, beauty and homeware, customers can now find a variety of services including cafés, nail and beauty bars, and barber shops in a number of UK stores.

Founded by Ricardo Seaton, The Vintage Wholesale Company is an established vintage and second-hand clothing business that sources the best vintage treasure from around the world. WornWell by the Vintage Wholesale Company will stock 70s, 80s and 90s trends including denim jumpsuits and shirts, spaghetti tops, printed sweaters, puffa jackets and crazy pattern shirts. With much-loved brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Converse, Levi, and Dr. Martens available, there is something for everyone – and each and every piece is unique and timeless.
