M&S 'to axe 1,000 jobs'

Marks & Spencer is to axe more than 1,000 jobs, it has been reported, as the economic gloom worsens on the high street.
M&S is expected to an nounce the cuts on Wednesday, including nearly 1,000 posts from shop floors and several hundred from head office and support sectors.
