Mountford to step down as Moss Bross CEO

Moss Bros chief executive Philip Mountford is to leave the menswear retailer.

Mountford will resign from the Board with effect from 19 January 2009 and will be leaving the Company on 31 January 2009. Mr Brian Brick, who has been a Non-Executive Director of the Company since 20 August 2008, will be appointed interim Chief Executive. The Company also announced that Mr Bernie Myers is stepping down as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 19 January 2009. Bernie joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director and the Company's Senior Non-Executive Director on 13 August 2001. On commenting, David Adams, Chairman said: 'On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Philip for his work and leadership and wish him well in all his new endeavours. I would also like to thank Bernie for work and advice during his tenure as a Non-Executive Director.'
