Loaf to open second London store

Furniture retailer Loaf has chosen Notting Hill as the location for its second store in London.

Set to open in July, the 5,500 square foot space will be home to the UK brand’s handmade collection of beds, sofas, furniture and accessories.

Housed over three floors in a former dairy, the store will also feature areas where customers can relax and play old-school arcade games and table football, as well as cinema den playing classic re-runs and a mattress testing area.

Charlie Marshall, founder of Loaf, said: “I grew up just around the corner from our new Shack and I used to spend my summer holidays earning a bit of pocket money painting my Dad’s office which was slap-bang opposite. It’s my favourite building in the area and I’ve had my eye on the space for a very long time. We’ve created a special somewhere for people to come and put their feet up and be happy.”

The Art Deco building is based on Lancaster Road, close to Ladbroke Grove station and a short stroll from Portobello Road.
