Littlewoods: Expanded concessions part of drive to broaden appeal

Adams and Cargo Home to feature in store

High street retailer Littlewoods is aiming to broaden its appeal with expanded concession deals.

Homeware specialist Cargo Home Shop is to pilot four concessions tailored specifically to Littlewoods at stores in Ashford, Harrogate, Camberley and Wolverhampton.
Littlewoods is also rolling out its partnership with childrenswear retailer Adams in more stores after the successful launch of Adams departments in Preston, Wolverhampton and Gateshead*#*8217;s Metro Centre.

The expansion is part of Littlewoods' revamp programme which started with the launch of its new womenswear collection this autumn.

In addition, a multi million pound store refurbishment programme aims to offer customers an improved environment, with new flooring, fixtures, facades, fitting rooms and restaurant. The first new-look store opened last month in Torquay and has gone on to beat all sales expectations.

A further seven stores are currently being refurbished and will be re-launched in October with plans to further roll out the programme being considered.
