Kookaï UK future hangs in the balance

Friday December 23rd 2005

Shares in Forminster, the AIM-listed operator of Kookaï in the UK have been suspended.

The company said "As announced on 11 October 2005 Kookai SA and Forminster PLC jointly agr eed that the Master Franchise Agreement between Kookai SA and Forminster's subsidiary, Adjustbetter Limited, was not appropriate to be renewed.

Continuing discussions between Kookai and Forminster have, to date, been inconclusive and the trading position of the Company from 1 January 2006, the formal expiry date of the Master Franchise Agreement, is highly uncertain.

Accordingly, the Board has today requested the suspension of trading in the Company's shares on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange until such time as the uncertainty over the Company's position is resolved"
