Kitchen brand push for B&Q

B&Q is launching a new £1m advertising campaign today (25 June), highlighting for the first time its exclusive Cooke & Lewis kitchen ranges.

A 30 second TV ad will launch across ITV regions and major satellite channels and will run for several weeks.

The ad showcases features seven B&Q staff members, including Miss Wales contestant Natasha Suliman who recently hit the headlines for winning Miss Carmarthenshire.

“This is a significant move for B&Q and a demonstration of the major improvements in our showroom customer offering,” says B&Q marketing director Warren Scarr. “We recently announced an £18m expansion of our showroom business and are now investing in TV and press exposure for our exclusive brands. It's the first time Cooke & Lewis has been on TV as a stand-alone brand, a move that will help communicate the quality, style and individuality of Cooke & Lewis kitchens.”

The stars of the ad were chosen from stores all over the country after a major casting exercise undertaken by B&Q's HR team. The campaign was created by London-based agency Rapier.
