UBS has appointed King Sturge as joint retail advisers at its Park Mall shopping centre in Ashford, Kent.

The scheme is an open-air 98,000 sq ft shopping centre with 30 retail units anchored by Wilkinson, Topman and Topshop. There are two adjacent car parks, one let to NCP and the other let to Ashford Borough Council, providing a total of 700 spaces.

The scheme provides a number of immediate and future asset management opportunities including various relocations and the break up of a number of the larger stores to create smaller units to suit retailers' requirements.

Natasha Paterson, Associate Director at UBS, says: “I am extremely pleased that King Sturge has been appointed to jointly advise with our existing agents, Capital Retail, as I know they have the determination and expertise to assist UBS on this scheme.”

Paul Faulkner, Retail Partner at King Sturge, says: “The prospect of working with UBS on this scheme is very exciting as they have a methodical approach towards their holdings and understand the dynamics of the constantly evolving retail market.”
