Expanding retailer Iceland has agreed a £500m five year distribution contract with DHL, which will

The retailer's existing distribution centres will be used for the project, with DHL ensuring current standards are maintained. Iceland has been working with DHL for some time. “DHL has proved over the last 3 years that it is capable of responding to the needs of the Iceland business... driving cost savings whilst significantly improving service to our stores. As a customer our demands are extremely high; the DHL team have responded to these challenges and delivered excellent results. Awarding this 5 year extended deal shows the confidence we have in the DHL team. We look forward to continuing to work in partnership to drive further cost savings and again improve service,” says Iceland supply chain director John Mackie.
