Home Retail Group appoints Ella Bennett as HR director
Home Retail Group, the owner of Argos and Homebase, has appointed Ella Bennett as its new group HR director.
Due to take up her new role on 3 August, Bennett will serve on the group executive board and will report to Home Retail Group chief executive, John Walden.
Bennett joins the business from Fujitsu, where she was HR director for the UK and Ireland. Her previous roles at Fujitsu have included transformation director and a number of HR leadership positions in the company’s business units.
Prior to Fujitsu, Bennett held senior HR roles at Mind, the mental health charity, and the National Family Services Charity.
Commenting on the appointment, Walden said: “Ella brings with her a broad range of HR experience in both private and third sector organisations which were going through transformational change. She also has had significant experience in the recruiting and development of technology talent, which will be important to the strategic plans of Home Retail Group.”
