Fintrax tax-free shopping solutions

Archived article dated Monday April 21st 2008

Concern over the effects of the credit crunch and the ever-increasing cost of living has led UK consumers to cut back on non-essential purchases. This domestic consumer caution brings a new customer to the retail forefront: the inbound visitor.

Inbound visitor spend has consistently increased year on year and with emerging economies in Russia, India, China and the Middle East, this already significant spend is predicted to increase substantially over the next two years. This often overlooked market brought £16.5 billion into the UK last year, money spent on accommodation, food, entertainment and, of course, shopping.

The Fintrax Group works with many leading brands including Harvey Nichols, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney, Banana Republic and some of the key Baugur retailers including House of Fraser, Mosaic Group, Hamleys and Aurum Holdings.

Fintrax has been at the forefront of the tourist industry for over 20 years with its leading brands Premier Tax Free and ¥€$ DCC and specialises in helping retail organisations maximise sales to the Inbound Visitor market.

Retailers currently using one of the Fintrax retail solutions are already benefiting from increased customer satisfaction, repeat business, tangible sales uplift, direct net profit contributions and significant operational efficiencies.

Fintrax are responsible for all major innovations within this market and hold a number of patents for their automated retail solutions. They will be exhibiting on stand H12 at the Retail Solutions Show, demonstrating the latest Tax Free & DCC technology and discussing with retailers how they can increase their share of the inbound visitor market.
