Cwmbran Shopping appoints new centre manager

Welsh shopping centre Cwmbran Shopping has appointed Rikki Teml as its new centre manager.

Teml’s appointment comes after one of the centre’s most successful years to date, with existing retailers committing £8 million to improve their stores in 2015. The centre is home to 170 retailers including the likes of House of Fraser, M&S, New Look, Primark and Topshop.

His previous roles include centre manager for both Clifton Down and Beechwood Shopping Centre, mall manager at Westfield London, as well as commercialisation and customer services manager for Cabot Circus. His experience was acknowledged by the industry in 2015 with a coveted SCEPTRE award win for Centre Manager of the Year (small centre).

Anthony Ross, director of asset management at M&G Real Estate, said: “Rikki will be a fantastic asset to the team and I am sure he will be integral in Cwmbran Shopping’s continued success. At one million square feet, the centre is both a regional destination and a local hub, and we warmly welcome Rikki to the team as we progress plans to further enhance our reputation as one of Wales’ leading retail destinations.”
