B&Q to help customers save energy

B&Q is to launch a new energy saving advice service for its customers.

The service will be introduced in October and will feature energy saving service areas in ten stores where customers can access advice on  improving the environmental efficiency of their homes. The retailer will  offer free home assessments, energy saving products, and an installation service, and will also launch an online help desk and dedicated call centre.

Martyn Phillips, CEO of B&Q UK & Ireland explained: “We’ve been carrying out independent trials, working with experts in energy efficiency and invested in new products, services and training to ensure that B&Q is the best place to come for energy saving advice this autumn.”

The service will be rolled out to further stores throughout 2013.
