Boots expands in Liverpool

Tuesday February 17th 2009

Boots UK has acquired a new store at 9 Church Street in Liverpool from landlord Aegon UK Property Fund.

The retailer has agreed a new lease on the unit, which will create a well configured store in the city centre. Boots will pay an annual rent of £595,000 for the space totalling 12,714 sq ft (1,181 sq m).

Dan Kent, director at Savills, comments: “This acquisition is part of Boots' strategy to improve its offer in major towns and cities throughout the UK. It's existing Church Street store in Liverpool has proved very successful, which has resulted in this requirement to drive further prime sales space.

Aegon UK Property Fund was represented by Jones Lang LaSalle.
