Asda Launch LazyTown Flash microsite and games
Archived article dated Tuesday October 13th 2009

Asda is launching its first ever fully animated flash microsite and online flash games as part of its major collaboration with LazyTown to promote their GreatStuff healthy food range. The online campaign has been designed by Leeds-based advertising agency, Gratterpalm.
The link-up with LazyTown sees the hit show's star Sportacus endorsing Asda's GreatStuff fruit and vegetable range and has proved hugely successful since its launch in April. Gratterpalm have delivered the in-store elements of the campaign, and will now go on to create an online campaign, which includes a full flash microsite with constantly moving animation, three flash games, three static downloadable games, and an online competition.
The microsite will be promoted via online banners on the asda.co.uk website, and via LazyTown superhero collectables that can be found inside all packs of GreatStuff products. Customers with all six collectables will be able to send their photos via the website to access exclusive LazyTown downloads.
Debbie Johnson, Product Licensing Manager at Asda said: 'Gratterpalm have really impressed us with their digital capabilities and creativity. They've produced the microsite in its entirety, including all download-able design elements and competition system, in just five days - proving their claim of 'advertising at the speed of retail' is spot on.
Gareth Healey, Joint Managing Partner at Gratterpalm said: This is a fantastic project for Gratterpalm to work on as it allows us to showcase our digital talent. We've worked with Asda on the LazyTown tie-in for many months, delivering all the in-store elements, so the digital work is a natural progression.
